MOVEX, Italy / MODUTECH, Turkey · Modular Belts
Interlocking plastic modular belts in flat-top, raised-rib, flush-grid, and perforated configurations for diverse conveying needs.
Also known as: Modular plastic conveyor belts, Plastic link belts, Interlocking belts, Flush grid belts, Raised rib belts
Plastic modular belts are built from injection-moulded modules joined by hinge rods, bricklayed to any width. They are driven positively by sprockets, so they do not slip or wander and need no tracking adjustment — a big advantage on wide, wet or heavily loaded conveyors.
Material is chosen for the job: polypropylene (PP) for general food and chemical resistance, polyethylene (PE) for low temperatures and impact, and acetal (POM) for strength, low friction and wear resistance. Flat-top surfaces carry packs and containers, flush-grid and perforated belts drain water and allow air flow for washing, cooling and freezing, and raised-rib belts make clean transfers with finger plates.
Damaged modules can be replaced individually instead of changing the whole belt, and the open hinge design is easy to clean, which is why modular belts are common in hygiene-critical food lines.
| Brand | MOVEX, Italy / MODUTECH, Turkey |
|---|---|
| Material | PP / PE / POM (acetal); stainless or plastic hinge rods |
| Surfaces | Flat top, Flush grid (open area), Raised rib, Perforated, Friction top, Roller top |
| Pitch | Common pitches from about 12.7 mm to 50.8 mm |
| Drive | Positive drive by moulded sprockets — no tensioning or tracking |
| Applications | Food processing and vegetable washing, Dairy and meat, Beverage and container handling, Packaging and end-of-line, Automotive parts |
PP suits most food and general conveying above about +5 °C; PE suits freezers and impact loads; acetal (POM) gives the highest strength, lowest friction and best wear resistance for heavy or high-speed lines.
Yes. Remove the hinge rod, replace the damaged modules and refit the rod — the rest of the belt stays in use.
No. They are positively driven by sprockets and guided by the conveyor frame, so they run straight without tensioning or tracking.
Yes. We supply matching sprockets, wear strips and transfer plates with the belt.
Modular belts that flex around curves — enabling complex conveyor layouts without product transfers between straight and curved sections.
