Seal-less magnetic drive centrifugal pumps in glass-filled PP or PVDF, 10 to 750 LPM, for corrosive, toxic and leak-sensitive liquids.

A magnetic drive pump has no shaft seal. The impeller is turned through the casing wall by a magnetic coupling, so there is no seal to leak. All wetted parts are non-metallic, which suits corrosive, toxic or expensive liquids where a drip is a problem.

We supply it in glass-filled PP or PVDF, from 10 to 750 LPM and up to about 40 m head, with motors from 0.10 to 5 HP.

It is the wrong answer for liquids that carry solids (they wear the bearings), for hot liquids beyond the plastic limit, or where it might run dry, which damages the internal bearings. For solids or dry running, choose an AODD pump.

Why choose seal-less

  • No mechanical seal to wear out or leak, which is the usual failure on a chemical pump.
  • Lower maintenance, and no seal flush.
  • Good for liquids you do not want on the floor.

Cautions

  • Do not run dry; the internal bearings depend on the liquid for cooling.
  • Do not run against a closed valve for long.
  • Avoid solids; fine crystals or grit shorten bearing life.
  • Check the liquid and temperature against PP or PVDF limits before choosing.

  • Temperature of the liquid
  • Viscosity, and the size and amount of any solids
  • Flow you need and the height or pressure it must work against
  • Where the pump sits relative to the liquid (flooded, or suction lift)
  • Power or compressed air you have available
  • Whether the area is hazardous (flammable or explosive atmosphere)
