ConveyPro Systems · Industrial Pumps
Horizontal monobloc centrifugal pumps in polypropylene for acids, alkalis and chemical transfer, 10 to 55 m3/hr, to 80 °C.
Also known as: PP centrifugal pump, Polypropylene pump, Chemical transfer pump, Acid transfer pump, Monoblock chemical pump
A monobloc centrifugal pump has the impeller mounted straight on the motor shaft, so it is compact and cheap to maintain. In polypropylene it handles acids, alkalis and many aqueous chemicals that would eat a metal pump, at flows of 10 to 55 m3/hr and heads of 11 to 35 m.
The semi-open impeller tolerates some fine solids better than a closed one. The Teflon bellow seal and ceramic shaft sleeve are the parts that deal with the chemical.
It is the wrong answer above 80 °C, for strong solvents that attack PP (look at PVDF or a seal-less pump), for high-viscosity liquids, and where the pump must lift liquid from below it. A centrifugal pump needs to be primed and should not run dry.
| Need | Better choice |
|---|---|
| Strong solvents or hotter liquids | PVDF version or a magnetic drive pump |
| Dry running, solids, self-priming | AODD pump |
| No leaks from a shaft seal | Magnetic drive pump |
| Viscous liquids | Positive displacement or barrel pump |
Pumps are chosen by the liquid first and the duty second. Give us as much of this as you can.

About 10 to 55 m3/hr at about 11 to 35 m head, depending on model.
80 °C for the pump. The liquid and the PP material may limit it lower, so tell us the liquid.
Yes, many, depending on the acid, strength and temperature. Send us the details.
No. Install it with the liquid above the pump, or prime it first.
No; dry running damages the seal. Fit a run-dry protection or use an AODD pump.
Small amounts of fine solids, through the semi-open impeller. For slurries use an AODD pump.
Tell us the area and the liquid before you order. We do not claim hazardous-area certification on this page, so we will confirm what can be supplied for your area.
